For decades, the cycling apparel industry has followed the same playbook: design seasonal collections, manufacture in bulk, store inventory, and promote like mad online and in-store before the next season arrives. This traditional approach leads to waste—excess inventory that ends up on the discount rack, or, worse, in landfills. It also means cyclists don’t always get the color, fit, or availability when they want it.
How many times have you found that perfect jersey, only to find that XXS and XXL are the only remaining sizes? And then the item that is available in your size is that atrocious color that you wouldn’t be caught dead wearing.
